If you are a chicken lover you know that not every chicken dish is the same. Marinated chicken, fried chicken, roasted chicken… what makes an unforgettable chicken dish is in the way you cook it, you enrich it and, also, in the way you serve it.
The Rebel Chicken
With a name like this, it’s impossible not to sing David Bowie when entering the doors of this chicken resort. “Rebel, Rebel your face is a mess” is their motto, after you try one of their tasty dishes, of course. Wood, plants, essential design make the perfect scenario for all the saucy options on the menu at The Rebel Chicken.
Their chicken wings are not only really instagrammable – they “sound” perfectly crunchy and are served with a variety of sauces… even with salted caramel! The Yard Burger or the Rebel Wrap will surprise you with Rebel’s crispy buttermilk chicken, smothered in Rebel’s famous (and secret) sauce.
“Gourmet food with an urban twist” – this is how Roqitoz defines their menu. And we went to try their food in a venue located in the heart of Birmingham to taste some fresh ingredients and, of course, chicken!
Their Pulled Chicken Burger is a combination of thigh and breasts meat, slow and low cooked with special herbs and spices and it definitely spices up your palate. Their chicken wings and chicken strips, in a platter to share or as a side, will make you Roqitoz-addicted.
The word Jojolapa means ‘welcome’ in Nepalese and we felt really welcome when trying their food. It brings together fresh herbs, vegetables and meats that have deep smoky flavours cooked with love and perfection in traditional ovens.
Their Chicken Chitwan originates from their Chef’s hometown in the famous animal sanctuary district in Nepal, simmered in strong flavours of garlic and mixed with a blend of spices and finished off with fried garlic and sun-dried red chillies.
Not to miss also their Ra Ra Chicken, the Nepalese version of your classic Indian ‘Jalfrezi’. Boneless chicken thigh pieces, cooked to perfection with chunky onions, peppers and then simmered in a thick Nepalese bhuna sauce.
Kings Grill House
Indian cuisine masters at Kings Grill House offer great dishes in a family friendly venue, specialising in non veg & vegetarian Punjabi food. Moreover, their stunning bar offers refreshing cocktails to accompany your meal and Champagne for your party or special occasion.
Their Chicken Tikka Masala, marinated according to the tradition and their Chicken Balti served with stir fried in Balti pot with peppers & onion were our favourite. What will your favourites be?
