subscription package of Sunday afternoon games. Subscribers receive
up to 13 games every Sunday for the full 17-week regular season, for
a total of nearly 200 games. NFL SUNDAY TICKET offers fans freedom
of choice--they watch the games they want to watch every
Sunday-LIVE! See the schedule below.
WHAT’S NEW IN 2000?
NFL SUNDAY TICKET will be telecast from a
younger, stronger satellite during the 2001 season, Galaxy 3R. The
satellite covers the continental U.S., Canada, Alaska, Hawaii,
Mexico, and the Caribbean. All NFL SUNDAY TICKET games will be shown
on consecutive channels.
All residential subscribers will receive
the exclusively created NFL SUNDAY TICKET. The Viewer's Guide is a
32 page magazine featuring editorial on your favorite team and
players, trivia contests, plus a complete guide listing of NFL
SUNDAY TICKET games. Subscribers who purchase before the end of July
will receive all five monthly issues beginning in September.
A satellite dish makes
it easy to catch all the NFL regular season action from your
favorite easy-chair. Invite over a couple of friends and make a
Sunday afternoon bash a weekly ritual. Fun, football, and friends,
all in your living room!
Another place to catch all the NFL SUNDAY
TICKET action is your favorite satellite dish-equipped sports
bar or restaurant. If a sports bar or restaurant in your area
does not subscribe to NFL SUNDAY TICKET, tell the owner to call one
of the NFL's commercial
distributors to subscribe. Commercial subscribers receive a
marketing kit complete with banners, blimps, game schedules and
other promotional pieces.
The 2000 NFL SUNDAY TICKET programming
begins each Sunday at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Time with a pregame show
produced exclusively for subscribers. The show is hosted by NFL
Films' President Steve Sabol who brings viewers through the day's
lineup and provides valuable insight into key matchups. Also
included are FOX and NBC pregame shows, local team and coaches shows
and the Emmy award winning "NFL FILMS PRESENTS."
NFL SUNDAY TICKET is encrypted in
VideoCipher RS (VCRS) for C-Band satellite dish owners. A separate
decoder is not necessary.
A: By calling any of the NFL
SUNDAY TICKET distributors, a subscriber can get local blackout area
information. The distributors have a defined list of the blackout
areas for each team.
A: There is no charge for
additional TV sets in the same commercial establishment, and all
games are transmitted on one satellite, so only one dish is needed.
However, if you want to watch more than one game simultaneously, you
do need a decoder for each game. Decoders can be purchased from
authorized satellite dealers (not from the NFL). This is similar to
needing a cable box for each TV set in your house that you wish to
receive cable programming. Residential subscribers receive all NFL
SUNDAY TICKET games for one price and are free to channel-surf from
game to game at will.
A: No. NFL SUNDAY TICKET is
only available via satellite dish.
A: It has no impact at all on
our network package. There are 93 million TV households, but NFL
SUNDAY TICKET affects only satellite dish owners. Our network TV
agreements will continue to deliver NFL games to fans on Sunday
afternoon, Sunday night and Monday night plus some Saturday
afternoon and Thursday specials in the same patterns that have been
used in recent years. NFL SUNDAY TICKET adds programming to our
television package. It does not take anything away.
NFL SUNDAY TICKET 2000 Viewer's Guide
32 color pages of pure NFL bliss. The
Viewer's Guide is published monthly from September through January
and contains the season schedule complete with channel locations.
Intermingled with the schedule are some great articles of interest
to both die-hard football fans and home satellite dish owners. The
guide is only available to NFL SUNDAY TICKET subscribers. Order
early to receive all five copies.
Satellite Dishes
NFL SUNDAY TICKET is only
available on C-Band and DSS (Digital Satellite System) satellite
television. In case you didn't know, a C-Band dish is the large dish
(about 7 feet in diameter or larger) while a DSS dish is the small
dish (about 18 inches in diameter).
