Jody R. of Eugene, OR:
This is my first time using the Big Dish. I stumbled onto your
site through AltaVista. I'm glad I found you, your service had me up
and running in just five minutes. Sure beats the digital junk.
Thanks,
Jody
From Steve Milewski, 39080 Wendling Rd.,
Marcola, OR 97454:
Until recently, I had a "Big Dish". Then
I fell prey to Dish network and their "small dish"
propaganda.
At the time it was a pretty good deal for me. I
subscribed to their "America's Top 50" package long with
Prime Time East & West. It gave me a bunch of channels I really
wasn't interested in, but it also gave me quite a few channels that
I really liked. Sure, I'd miss things like Denver5 and CBC, but I'd
be able to take down that 12 foot solid dish in the backyard.
So, I sold off my old trusty Tracker V and gave
away that big old dish. Then this week, I found out why people hate
cable TV so much. Lack of control of your programming! Dish network
changed it's lineup so that they dropped several of the stations I
really enjoyed in my package and will now charge me extra to get
those same stations because they are now a "new" package.
In addition, they added several more stations to my current package
that I will never watch. They tell me that this is the new and
improved "Top 60" package and that I must take it and I
must pay extra for those channels.
In all my years as a C band subscriber, I was
always in charge of what I wanted to see and pay for. Now it's out
of my control. C-banders, you have a good thing going for you. Don't
make the same mistake I did, hold on to your big dishes and big
choices.

Hi,
First of all, I have to say, you guys have an excellent web site.
Ordering was so cool that I plan to ditch the cable box immediately
if not sooner. Really nice job. I know it's late but I thought
someone might be around bored out of there mind doing backups or
something and could use an E-mail about now. I used to be that guy..
Anyway, after great personal struggle, I finally got my VC2+
C-band dish online tonight. I feel like I just climbed Mount Everest
and I can't sleep!
